Empowering Women Through Skills & Enterprise

Poverty and lack of economic opportunity keep many women in a cycle of dependence and vulnerability. This project empowers women and adolescent girls through skills training, financial literacy, and business startup support.

Women enrolled in the program undergo hands-on training and mentorship in various trades, equipping them with marketable skills and the confidence to launch small businesses. Additionally, women are encouraged to form support groups and VSLAs where they can save, borrow, and share experiences. Leadership training fosters agency, enabling women to advocate for their rights and participate meaningfully in local governance.

Focus Areas:

  • Vocational training (tailoring, crafts, soap-making, agribusiness)

  • Microgrants and startup kits

  • Leadership and advocacy training

  • Financial literacy and savings groups
